ADVANCE mentors are comprised of 30 full-time and part-time 2L and 3L students.  The mentor's primary role  is to provide customized guidance and support to the mentee based on the mentee’s unique interests and needs.  Mentors are expected to provide advice, share ideas, and give constructive feedback to ADVANCE mentees.

ADVANCE mentors are also expected to help mentees establish goals in the five designated areas of need (see about us) and identify skills and resources needed for mentees to be successful during their law school career, including career development.  ADVANCE's mentors aim to pay forward the additional knowledge and expertise they have acquired while recognizing that they, too, will learn from the mentoring experience.  For more information on how to become a mentor, please look out for our recruitment announcements in the Spring or email
