14th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Commemoration Held at American University Washington College of Law
Keynote Speaker Professor Cynthia Jones to Address Racial Disparities in the Criminal Justice System

WASHINGTON, January 8, 2013 – American University Washington College of Law will commemorate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a program and reception Wednesday, Jan. 16, 4-6 p.m in the law school's student lounges.
The commemoration and program will feature a keynote speech by Cynthia Jones, professor at American University Washington College of Law, on "Addressing Racial Disparities in the Criminal Justice System." Jones' remarks will be followed by a collaborative reading by members of the American University Washington College of Law community led by Matthew Pascocello, director of career development and alumni counseling at the law school. Attendees will gather for a reception following the program. The event is presented by the law school’s Office of Diversity Services.
