AUWCL Student Awarded American Bankruptcy Institute Medal for Excellence

On August 13, 2018 rising 3L American University Washington College of Law student Jillian McMillan was awarded the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) Medal for Excellence for 2018.
McMillan attained the highest grade in her Corporate Bankruptcy course, taught by Professor Walter Effross this past Spring semester.
Each year, the ABI selects one student from each law school to receive the honor. The ABI is the nation’s the nation’s largest association of bankruptcy professionals, including attorneys, auctioneers, bankers, judges, lenders, professors, turnaround specialists, accountants and others.
