AUWCL Hosts 20th Meeting of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization Advisory Committee
From March 31 to April 1, the law school hosted the 20th Meeting of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization’s (ITSO) Advisory Committee. Comprised of 23 of the 149 Parties to the ITSO Agreement, the Advisory Committee convenes between ITSO’s Assembly of Parties and gives advice and feedback to the Director General of ITSO between Assembly of Parties.

Congratulations to 3Ls Ashley Nickel, Naomi Ahsan, Semp Sooriakumar, and Tiffany Sommadossi on their success in the 13th Annual Willem C. Vis East Moot Court Competition in Hong Kong. Ahsan won the Neil T. Kaplan Award for Best Oral Advocate, while Sommadossi and Sooriakumar both received honorable mentions for the Best Oral Advocate Award. Overall, the team won 16th Best Oral Team out of 115 teams from 31 countries.
