Alumna Receives Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Clarence Darrow Prodigy Award

Molly Rose Green ’14 has been hard at work since she finished her time in law school. She has since moved to Kentucky, and received the Yale Initiative for Public Interest Law Fellowship. The focus of her year-long project was to help more people in Kentucky clear their criminal records. She was also recently awarded the 2016 KACDL Clarence Darrow Prodigy Award by the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Law, Justice and Development Week (LJD Week) is a unique event hosted yearly at The World Bank, which brings together the global community interested in using law and justice tools to contribute to development. Since 2014, the Program on International Organizations Law and Diplomacy (PIOLD) at American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) has been a co-sponsor of Law, Justice and Development Week with students from the program supporting the event and helping The World Bank staff host more than 1,200 participants and speakers.

This November, ten students from the UN CAT Project traveled to Geneva, Switzerland, to experience firsthand the United Nations Committee against Torture's 59th session proceedings and deepen their knowledge of international human rights law. Generous gifts from the Kovler Foundation and from Ms. Kelsey Lee Offield supported the UN CAT Project's students, Vanessa Drummond Alvarez, Chase J. Currently, he is editor-in-chief of the Administrative Law Review, but has also served as the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) vice president and on the staffs of the National Security Law Brief, the Sustainable Development Law and Policy Brief, and more. AUWCL Communications Dean's Fellow Erin Nanovic recently sat down with Ross to talk about his law school experience.
