How do individual rights and religion relate to one another in today’s world? This was the question American University Washington College of Law’s Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law sought to address during its Religion and Individual Rights Symposium March 30.

On March 28, the Program on International Organizations, Law and Diplomacy and the European Law Association presented the conference on “Comparing Mining Laws in Africa: Natural Resources, Technology and Communities” at American University Washington College of Law.

American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) proudly congratulates Robert Frank Pence ’71, who has been confirmed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Finland. Ambassador Pence was nominated to this position by President Donald J. Trump in November and confirmed by the Senate on Thursday, March 22.

The Law of the Sea, and how it pertains to the South China Sea and Arctic Ocean, was the topic of discussion during the National Security Law Brief’s biannual symposium held on March 28 at American University Washington College of Law.
