American University Washington College of Law and the American University School of Education have partnered to participate in the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) Adopt-a-School Program.  For the 2018-2019 year, the program site selected for the AUWCL partnership is Truesdell Education Campus, which serves PK, 3-5, 7, 8 in the Brightwood Park, Crestwood, and Petworth neighborhoods of DC.

This summer, a number of students from American University Washington College of Law spent their break participating in internships and externships around Washington, D.C. We asked students to tell us about their experience, and how the lessons they have learned at AUWCL helped prepare them for their intern and extern roles.

Professor Walter Effross, who specializes in corporate and internet/computer law, has launched a new website filled with practical resources on blockchain and cryptocurrency. It's just one in a series of recent efforts Effross and his students have taken to demystify blockchain and related technologies for interested parties in the community.

On Tuesday, July 17, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released of a consensus study report, Open Science by Design: Realizing a Vision for 21st Century Research, co-authored by AUWCL Professor Michael Carroll.
