Trade and Inclusivity: Small and Mid-size Enterprises (SMEs) and Women’s Access to Trade

12:00PM - 01:15PM Washington College of Law
This panel is part of the annual African Legal Conference held by the African Law and Policy Association (ALPA).  This year's theme focuses on Challenges and Opportunities in Governance, Trade, and Economic Empowerment on the African Continent.

The panel will focus on the legal, policy, and governance challenges and opportunities of implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the AfCFTA’s goal of creating inclusive SMEs.  It will highlight women’s role in the informal sector and the effects of the AfCFTA on SMEs and the implications for US trade relations.  The panel can also link issues of governance and trade agreements to women’s access to formal trade regimes.

Zoom link to be sent out prior to the event.
