This symposium is designed to bring together law students, legal employers, and law school deans and other professionals who have an interest in promoting disability diversity and inclusion on campuses and at work. Panelists will examine the current state of affairs, including challenges facing law students and lawyers with disabilities. Topics will include reasonable accommodations, pros and cons of disclosing one’s disability to prospective employers, choosing a career, and situations persons with disabilities encounter in law school and the workplace and ways to address them. Keynote speaker, the Honorable Tony Coelho, will discuss the need for persons with disabilities on the bench.
