The Power of Public Interest: Corporate Accountability in the 21st Century

09:00AM - 02:00PM Tenley Campus - Warren NT01 Ceremonial Classroom
Join the American Constitution Society for its inaugural symposium, "The Power of Public Interest: Corporate Accountability in the 21st Century." In addition to a keynote by consumer protection activist Ralph Nader, this symposium will feature two panels. The first panel will examine prior issues in corporate accountability and consumer protection and how young, motivated lawyers addressed them head on. The panel will also discuss modern iterations of these issues, as well as how law students and lawyers can become involved. The second panel will focus on potential careers in public interest beyond the conventional legal paradigm, as well as how to make a maximum impact with minimal resources.
