A former conscientious objector, he received the Emil Grunzweig Human Rights Award and an Open Society Fellowship.
Sfard will be joined by Lara Friedman, president of the Foundation for Middle East Peace. Friedman is a leading authority on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, with particular focus on the Israeli-Arab conflict, and settlements and Jerusalem.
