Interning and Clerking for Administrative Law Judges: Who, What, and Why?

12:00PM - 01:00PM Yuma Building - Y115

What is an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ)? Why should I be interested in clerking for one? How would I find an opportunity? On February 5th at noon, alumni will be coming to campus to answer those questions! Alumni and prospective employers will be on a panel talking about what it was like to intern or clerk for an ALJ in a variety of courts. An ALJ opportunity can help not just students interested in private fields, but is often all the more important for public service student.

Please note that one of the most prominent ALJ opportunities that AUWCL students get involved with is with the DOJ’s Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). If you’re interested in immigration law – that includes you, public interest students! – this is a crucial event to attend and learn more about the value you can get out of these experiences.
