Race and Disability in Policing and Criminal Justice Reform

Panelists Dean Camille Nelson; Talila Lewis, Co-Founder and Director of Helping Educate to Advance the Rights of Deaf communities (HEARD); Robert Driscoll, Member, McGlinchey Stafford PLLC; former Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Chief of Staff, Civil Rights Division, U.S. Department of Justice; and Alicia Yass, Legal Counsel, D.C. Office of Police Complaints, will discuss the intersection of race and disability in criminal law and police interactions. Professor Kenneth Troccolli will moderate the panel, asking questions about the panelists' personal experience and research in this area.
