The Sports and Entertainment Law Society present the 2017 Sports Law Symposium featuring the following:  Invisible Injuries:  The Evolution of Player Health and Safety; eSports and Legal Issues in the Age of Digital Content; Game Changers – a GC Summit; Women in Sports – Perspectives and Insights; and Skill, Chance, and the New Status Quo – The Future of Sports Gambling in the U.S. 

Panel Overview:
1.Invisible Injuries: The Evolution of Player Health and Safety
Brain injuries are an emerging issue that have led to sweeping changes in several sports industries.  Listen to attorneys and a neuro surgeon discuss a topic that will affect the sports world for years to come.

2. eSports and Legal Issues in the Age of Digital Content
In this digital age, sports aren’t only on the field.  This panel will address a new era of sports and how the digital sphere is keeping pace.

3. Game Changers: A GC Summit
Listen to general counsel discuss day-to-day issues they face during their job and provide perspective on the industry and the organizations they help advise.

4. Women in Sports: Perspectives and Insights
Women are often underrepresented in the athletic world, but several outstanding attorneys have broken through to make their mark on the industry.  Listen to their perspective on how to thrive in the sports world.

5. Skill, Chance, and the New Status Quo - The Future of Sports Gambling in the U.S.
Attorneys will discuss the casino industry, how it will impact the leagues in the gambling betting environment, and how the case, NCAA v. Christie, will dictate the future of betting.
