Next Steps in Health Reform 2017

 Join leading health law, policy, and economics experts from across the country to discuss the dynamic health care landscape, including:
  • Health care delivery and payment reform, including value-based purchasing, transparency, and drug pricing;

  • Private insurance regulation, including coverage for individuals with pre-existing conditions, tax credits, and essential health benefits;

  • The future of Medicaid and CHIP, including financing and eligibility reform and the evolving federal-state relationship;

  • Responses by states and communities to the changing federal role in health care.

The conference will feature a keynote address by Sylvia Mathews Burwell, President, American University and former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, and an Open Plenary Discussion with Timothy Jost, Professor of Law Emeritus, Washington and Lee University School of Law. The three-day event is co-sponsored by the AU School of Public Affairs and Kogod School of Business.
