ProBAR Info Session
ProBAR, the ABA's South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project, is a leading provider of immigration legal services in a region of the U.S.-Mexico border called the Rio Grande Valley. For the past 30 years, ProBAR has empowered immigrants through high-quality legal education, representation, and connections to services, with a particular focus on adults and unaccompanied children in federal immigration custody and asylum-seekers forced to remain in Mexico under the Migrant Protection Protocols program. Representatives of ProBAR's Outreach team will visit WCL on Wednesday, September 7 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in NT01 to introduce the work of their organization, share updates and information about the current landscape for asylum-seekers at the border, and describe opportunities to get involved with the ProBAR team through internships or post-graduate employment. |
