Public Interest Environmental Law Conference

All Day

This year’s PIELC will take place from Thursday, March 2, 2023, to Sunday, March 5, 2023, in Eugene, Oregon, and has as its theme: “Reconnecting and Transitioning Together.” As announced by LAW, "While we’re working on reconnecting to each other, we’re also working on transitioning our habits and systems for a more sustainable future. The world must connect new people, ideas, and resources as we shift the dial on so many facets of environmental law and sustainability. Through this theme, we hope to emphasize connection to one another and transition to a more sustainable world."

The Public Interest Environmental Law Conference (PIELC) is the oldest and largest annual conference focusing on public interest environmental law issues. Each year, more than 3,000 activists, attorneys, students, scientists, and concerned citizens from around the globe gather at the University of Oregon Law School in Eugene, OR to share their experience and expertise. The four-day conference is organized by Land Air Water (LAW), the student environmental law society, and offers over 125 panels, workshops, and presentations addressing a broad spectrum of topics in environmental law and advocacy. Additionally, the conference offers a phenomenal networking opportunity for students, with opportunities to socialize and collaborate with attorneys from regional and national environmental non-profit organizations and law firms.

The Program on Environmental & Energy Law (PEEL) seeks to assist sponsoring interested students' attendance. If you would like to attend the conference please fill out this form by Jan. 20, 2023.
