Akin Gump 1L Pro Bono Scholars Program Session

 Join us on January 17 at Noon ET to learn about the 1L Akin Gump Pro Bono Scholars Program from Scott Johnson (’10), Senior Counsel at Akin Gump. The program is a two-summer program for students who show a strong interest in making pro bono an integral part of their Akin Gump careers. Scholars are rising second-year law students who work both at the firm and at a public interest organization during the summer. The next summer, Scholars are members of the firm’s regular summer associate program. Register here

International Suite Talks Series : “Gendered Disinformation and Elections”

The event will feature an enlightening presentation on disinformation and political gender violence focusing on Brazil and the US elections. Our two main speakers are Gustavo Silveira Borges, Professor of Human Rights and New Technologies, Department of Human Rights, UNESC, Brazil Law and Technology Consultant; and Paula Tavares, Adjunct Professor, Gender, International and Comparative Law, American University, Washington College of Law | Senior Legal and Gender Specialist, World Bank.
