The Shift in Stop and Frisk

A discussion on changes in searches and seizures and stop and frisks. Reviewing recent Supreme Court opinions, District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland cases addressing reasonable suspicion, probable cause, and exigent circumstances. How these changes effect officer's actions when performing stop and frisks and establishing reasonable suspicion or probable cause.

CLE Credit Information:

1.0 CLE credit hours will be provided for states of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia upon the request of attendees. American University Washington College of Law is an accredited CLE provider for Virginia and Pennsylvania, with reciprocity for New York and New Jersey, and with accreditation for all other states applied for as requested. An application requesting MCLE credit for this activity is pending for approval by the State Bar of California.
