Law Student Pro Bono Training: The Veteran's Consortium

 There are many project opportunities for law students to assist with TVC’s work. Their mission is to provide quality legal services to veterans and their families free of charge. TVC provides legal representation before the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, advises and represents veterans in discharge upgrades, and holds multiple clinics each month to aid veterans with various civil legal issues.

Law Student Pro Bono Training: DC Family Court Self-Help Center

12:00PM - 01:00PM Washington College of Law (Zoom)

 

The Family Court Self-Help Center is a free walk-in service that provides unrepresented people with legal information in family law matters. Customers receive information on court processes and descriptions of available legal options. Student volunteers work with supervising attorneys to give legal and referral information to customers. Volunteers must complete a training prior to participating.
