The Art of Intellectual Property Law; Intellectual Property Brief Symposium

The Intellectual Property Brief is hosting a symposium to discuss the intersection of art and intellectual property. Topics will include: The art of both design and scientific patent examination and if a science background should be required for examining a design patent; if AI is actually transforming the artistic works programmers use as learning guides and should laws be created to protect artists' rights in regards to Al; how Trademarks are found throughout fashion, including not only artistic interpretation of famous trademark designs but also the current trend of up-cycling fashion pieces; and finally the use trade secrets within the art community, from protecting paint pigment recipes to techniques for recognizing fraudulent art work.
