Poverty Simulation
The “Walk a Month in My Shoes ” Poverty Simulation is a unique training opportunity for anyone wishing to develop clearer insight into the hardships faced by low-income clients. Participants leave with a visceral understanding of the day-to-day experiences of a person living in poverty so that they can better understand, represent, and advocate alongside their current and future clients.

To welcome participants
of the Fifth Investment Arbitration Competition, which will take place March
12-16, 2018, the Center is organizing a round table in Spanish, which will
discuss conflicting procedural rights in investment arbitration. Speakers include
Horacio Grigera Naón, WCL; Manuela de la Helguera, Wiss & Partners LLP; Miguel
López Forastier, Covington & Burling LLP; Luis Parada, Mallet-Prevost, Colt
& Mosle LLP; and Caroline Richard, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. The
event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
