Christian Legal Society (CLS) General Body Meeting

Christian Legal Society (CLS) will be hosting weekly meetings. These meetings will be on Zoom Mondays at 12PM. CLS will have general body meetings one week and Bible study the next week. Pathways to Employment in International Law with the ABA Section of International Law

The ABA International Law Section in conjunction with the Office of Career & Professional Development and International Comparative Legal Studies program are providing a unique virtual forum that brings law students and new lawyers together with experienced practitioners to explore opportunities for employment in international law. Learn about International internship opportunities, how to network with legal experts from around the world, practice in other legal systems and cultures, become active in international organizations and societies, and how to develop legal and interpersonal skills.

  • Amala has over a decade of experience representing multilateral development banks, export-credit agencies, financial institutions and private equity funds on international debt financings and equity investments. Through the representations of lenders, she works closely with sponsors, developers, technical specialists, and governments to facilitate the development of projects in various sectors including, energy, manufacturing, agribusiness, transportation, infrastructure and microfinance. She has done numerous transactions throughout Latin America and Africa and also works on projects in other emerging markets. 

Peter A. Quinter, Shareholder and U.S. Customs & International Trade Law Group Chair at GrayRobinson

  • Shareholder and U.S. Customs and International Trade Law Group Chair Peter Quinter practices in the Miami, Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale law firm offices of GrayRobinson. Peter principally represents individuals and companies involved in international trade and transportation, including litigation in the federal courts located in Florida and the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York. Peter has received recognition for his experience and leadership by several reputable sources. Peter is recognized by Florida Trend in its “Florida 500: Florida's Most Influential Business Leaders” as well as among its "Legal Elite" in the area of international law. Maximiliano J. Trujillo, Founder & President of MJT Policy

  • Maximiliano J. Trujillo is the founder and president of MJT Policy LLC, a strategic government affairs firm in Washington, DC. Mr. Trujillo, a senior government affairs professional with 20 years of experience who has served in the U.S. Congress, the government of Puerto Rico and in the private sector. He is an expert who knows how to manage political relationships, develop policy positions and strengthen partnerships with national and local organizations. Mr. Trujillo currently serves as Rule of Law Officer and council member of the American Bar Association’s International Law Section and the section’s liaison to the Organization of American States. Mr. Trujillo is a board member of the Hispanic Leaders Association/Asociación Líderes Hispanos in Washington, DC and is a former Vice President of the Hispanic Lobbyist Association.
