Drop-In Resume Review

January is a key month to perfect your job search strategies. Faculty and staff from WCL programs and student organizations will review resumes and give advice on career networking at this event on Monday, January 14th from 3:00pm-5:00pm in Claudio Grossman Hall. Please come prepared with your resume and an idea of where you are seeking a job or externship. Supreme Court Series: Rimini Street Inc. v. Oracle USA Inc.

Join us for the SCOTUS series panel discussion and reception on Rimini Street Inc. v. Oracle USA Inc.  AUWCL regularly invites counsel of record and counsel for selected amici to offer post-argument reflections in intellectual property (and related) cases heard by the Supreme Court.  PIJIP hosts these events on the afternoon of oral argument before the Court.  This panel will discuss the issue: whether the Copyright Act’s allowance of “full costs,” 17 U.S.C. § 505, to a prevailing party is limited to taxable costs under 28 U.S.C. §§ 1920 and 1821, as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 8th and 11th Circuits have held, or whether the act also authorizes non-taxable costs, as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit held

International Dispute Resolution Involving States: Key Decisions in 2018

Human Rights Internships: Students Tell All

​Join the Center for Human Rights & Humanitarian Law's Student Advisory Board for a human rights summer opportunities panel.  Students will discuss their previous human rights-related internships and will answer questions about how to find a position and make the most of your opportunity.  Lunch will be provided.  Bring your questions!

Public Interest Roundtable Series: Public Interest and Big Law

 Did you come to law school because you want to make a difference, but are now considering a career at a law firm? Did you always want to work at a law firm, but want to learn how lawyers make pro bono work a significant part of their practice? What do pro bono attorney at firms do? What issues do they work on? How can I identify law firms that genuinely support pro bono service? Is it possible to transition out of big law and into public interest work after working at a firm? How can I talk about my desire to do pro bono work during interviews like OCI without raising questions about my interest in the firm?
