  • Program Explores the Future of the Department of Justice Under the Trump Administration

    The Program on Law & Government, WCL American Constitution Society Chapter, and the Office of Special Events and Continuing Legal Education present "Trump Justice," Thursday, Jan. 19, noon, in Grossman Hall. This panel discussion will explore the dramatic changes that will take place in the U.S. Department of Justice and the federal judiciary under President Donald J. Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Speakers will consider the expected curtailment in civil rights enforcement, the role of the DOJ in advising the administration on conflicts of interest, the focus on highly conservative judicial nominations and many more critically important policy shifts.   • Annual MLK Commemoration Features Keynote from PG County State's Attorney

    On Jan. 19, 2017, at 4 p.m., American University Washington College of Law will host its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Commemoration Program and Reception. This year's program will feature a keynote address from Angela D. Alsobrooks, the State's Attorney for Prince George's County. The event will open with welcoming remarks from Dean Camille A.
