TLS Student Fellow

Margarita Gorospe is a third-year law student at the American University Washington College of Law (WCL), where she serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Intellectual Property Brief and President of the Information Security and Privacy Law Society.

She was first inspired to pursue a legal career when she learned about information security and about the intersection of emerging technology and law through the 2013 Joffe v. Google case.

From there, Margarita continued to seek experiences to help her develop her knowledge of law and technology. In addition to assisting intellectual property attorneys prior to law school, she has gained experience in analyzing state privacy laws, telecommunication issues, consumer data privacy, and digital platforms. As a law student, she has interned at AT&T, the Computer & Communications Industry Association, and the United States Agency for Global Media.
