PIJIP Welcomes Professor Nancy Weiss

PIJIP Welcomes Professor Nancy Weiss

PIJIP welcomes Professor Nancy Weiss!

Nancy is a Senior Policy Fellow with PIJIP and an Adjunct Supervisor with the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Clinic. She has played a leading role in several major international agreements, including the first copyright treaty to mandate a stand-alone exception to help end the global book famine for people with print disabilities; the Principles on Nazi-Confiscated Art addressing unresolved issues from the Holocaust era; and key UNESCO cultural conventions.

Her current work focuses on cultural heritage law, including her article “(Re)connecting Indigenous Cultural Expression(s): Emerging Frameworks for Empowering Indigenous Voices, Agency, and Authority,” as well as the forthcoming “Reuniting Native American Communities With Ancestral Heritage.”

We're excited to see the important contributions Professor Weiss will continue to make to PIJIP and the AUWCL community.
