Launch of New Centre on Knowledge Governance in Geneva, Switzerland
The Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (PIJIP) and the Geneva Graduate Institute are pleased to announce the launch of their Geneva-based Centre on Knowledge Governance. The Centre is a project of American University’s Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property and the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies with the support of the Arcadia Fund.
The mission of the Geneva Centre is to promote justice and sustainable development within international policy-making institutions that govern access and use of information. The Centre conducts research, offers educational programs and technical assistance to support diplomats, government policy makers and public interest stakeholders engaged in international policy-making, and hosts events and debates on international intellectual property law and related regulation of the products of knowledge.
The Centre on Knowledge Governance is located at the Geneva Graduate Institute in the heart of international Geneva, a block from the World Intellectual Property Organization and steps from the World Trade Organization and many of the agencies of the United Nations.
