CRISPR Patent Battle Post-Argument Discussion Webcast
The CRISPR patent (aka CRISPR-Cas9), which stands for “clusters regularly interspaced palindromic repeats,” has been the topic of discussion behind USPTO doors.
Join us on December 6th at 12:15pm for a discussion of the high stakes contest in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office over which research institution – UC Berkeley or MIT – should be awarded patent protection for a groundbreaking new method of gene editing that can greatly increase the pace of research and discovery in the biological sciences. Participants will discuss the overall dispute and the administrative hearing that the Office will hold on the morning of December 6 to aid its decision making.
