Since June 23, 2016, when British voters voted to leave the European Union, the world has been watching the countdown to “Brexit.” The twists and turns in the UK’s exit have left even the most ardent watchers puzzled: why is Brexit happening? How and when will it happen? What will be its consequences? Join American University faculty from SPA, SIS, CAS, Kogod and the Washington College of Law for two panel discussions on how we got here, the economic and legal issues related to Brexit, and the political and societal ramifications in the UK, the EU, and beyond.
