Professor Grigera Naón Recognized "Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers
Professor Horacio Grigera Naón, Director of the Center on International Commercial Arbitration at American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL), has recently been recognized by Best Lawyers as 2020 “Lawyer of the Year” in the practice areas of International Commercial and Investment Arbitration in Washington D.C. Best Lawyers is considered the most credible measure of legal integrity and distinction in the United States.
Professor Grigera Naón will be highlighted in the 26th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America for his high caliber work in International Arbitration. Best Lawyers will also feature him in various newspaper announcements across the country, among them the Washington Post, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
Professor Grigera Naón is an independent international arbitrator and consultant on arbitration, business, and international law matters. He is the director of AUWCL’s Center on International Commercial Arbitration, where he lectures on international commercial arbitration. He served as Secretary General of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, and he has been a practitioner in the field of international commercial arbitration and international business law for over thirty years. Dr. Grigera Naón has also widely published in those areas, including a book on Choice-of-Law Problems in International Commercial Arbitration (1992) and lectures at the Hague Academy of International Law (2001) on the same topic.
