Call for Papers

The 2020 Call for Papers is now open!

The American University Washington College of Law would like to invite proposals for presentations, interactive sessions and panel discussions for the 2020 International Legal Education Abroad and LLM Administrator’s Conference to be held on February 20-21, 2020, in Washington, DC. This year’s conference will address the theme Countering the Forces of Change: New Approaches, Initiatives and Programs.

The conference focuses on international legal education abroad and JD student population, as well as information sharing and best practices modeling for LLM administrators. Submissions should offer a unique perspective, innovative idea, or critical quantitative or qualitative assessment of the role international education abroad has on the global legal community or how the global legal community impacts international legal education. Proposals may consider JD and/or LLM students, law school international programs offices, law school faculty and administrators, international partners, alumni, employers, and others in the global legal community.

We have read and taken into consideration your last year’s evaluations and feedback (thank you!). This year, the Review Committee will aim to organize a mix of panels, roundtable discussions and free-flow conversations. Please, include in your submission what is the preferred length and format.

Deadlines:

  • Abstract submission: December 1, 2019
  • Selection: December 16, 2019
