Human Rights Education

The Center's Human Rights Education Program is dedicated to promoting widespread understanding of human rights through teaching, service, and learning beyond the standard law school curriculum. Our on-campus activities support student learning of human rights issues, including a host of community service activities, expert panel discussions, specialized seminars, and workshops. Our off-campus programming and community engagement activities focus on initiatives with an array of partners in the DC metro area, across the US, and in countries around the world, such as the integration of women’s human rights into legal education and practice, and efforts to expand and support the teaching and study of international humanitarian law, among others.
