The Center offers students, scholars, and practitioners diverse opportunities to spend a summer, semester or year at American University Washington College of Law conducting research, supporting our programs, sharing experiences with students, and exploring critical human rights issues while earning academic credit with a distinguished group of peers.

Flaka Pollozhani

Flaka pollozhani

Flaka Pollozhani was an international visiting scholar through the Community Solutions Program Fellowship. She has a B.A. in Law and an M.A. in International Relations and Human Rights from the University of Tetova. In 2013, she conducted a research on freedom of expression and the European System for the Protection of Human Rights as part of an exchange scholars program at the University of Graz in Austria. Since 2014, she has been working as a Project Coordinator at the Community Center of Struga Municipality, providing legal and administrative aid for citizens and non-formal education. She is currently a Ph.D. student in International Relations at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Macedonia.

Francisca Corona Ravest is an Chilean master's student studying international development at Science Po, in Paris, France.  She was an intern at the Center in 2016. While working at the Center, Francisca prepared on a comprehensive report analyzing different approaches to human rights work in law schools around the world.  She recently published an article discussing feminism in Chile for Le Grand Continent.

Sofía Auzmendi is an Argentinian third-year student in Political Science and International Relations at Sciences Po.  She was an intern at the Center in 2017.  While working at the Center, Sofia provided programmatic support and helped create a database of Center alumni.
