I came to the Washington College of Law specifically for its impressive reputation for international human rights law, knowing that long-term, my ultimate career goal is to work in anti-human trafficking. I applied to the Kovler Project with the idea that I could get an understanding of the intersections between human trafficking and torture, and to broaden my awareness in general of an international crime that encompasses so many different vulnerabilities amongst both individual people and within countries as a whole. The unique opportunity to travel to Geneva and attend U.N. hearings is just an added bonus!
