
Marta treviño-leyva
Marta Treviño-Leyva is the Assistant Director of Impact Litigation and the Kovler Project Against Torture, leading strategic litigation on human rights and global efforts to end torture.
She holds an MA in Human Rights from the University of Manchester and an LLM in Gender, International and Comparative Law from AUWCL. With more than 15 years of experience in human rights, Marta has focused on women’s and civil rights in Mexico and globally. She has collaborated with the Inter-American Commission of Women (OAS, 2023), the Department of Electoral Cooperation and Observation (OAS, 2017), and the UN International Law Commission (2022) as part of Claudio Grossman’s advisory committee.
She has also contributed to various international research projects, published several academic articles and taught law at leading Universities in Mexico.
