Paul Zarnowiecki is a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and the leader of Orrick’s 110-lawyer Washington, DC Office.  Paul represents renewable energy and energy storage companies as well as the strategic investors and the utilities that have roles in wind, solar, and energy storage projects in both North America and South America.  Paul handles a broad range of project development, financing, M&A and commercial transactions for these clients.

Paul has served as lead counsel on some of the most innovative and complex U.S. renewable energy transactions in recent years, including the first utility scale project financing of a solar energy project in the United States, the first power purchase agreement for offshore wind energy in the United States and the U.S. Army’s largest renewable energy transaction to power the Fort Hood Army Installation in Texas with wind energy and solar energy.

Paul earned his JD/MBA from American University’s Washington College of Law and Kogod School of Business and serves on Washington College of Law business law advisory council.
