Student Advisory Board Alumni
After graduating from WCL, former SAB members have continued their commitment to human rights. Many have gone on to head key human rights organizations worldwide and hold important positions in government, the judiciary, academia and the NGO community. SAB alumni have focused on cutting-edge issues related to immigration, mental health, national security, refugee rights, anti-discrimination, the rights of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, asylum, post-conflict justice and more. Our alumni hold positions as directors and attorneys with organizations and agencies like the Department of Justice, the Peace Corps and the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva. Still others have become Senior White House Advisors, have pursued high-level international academic research with reputable institutions and have gone to serve as Foreign Service Officers with the U.S. Department of State.
Whatever niche our SAB alumni have found, the scope and breadth of their work show that they remain connected to their communities, however defined, and committed to advancing human rights initiatives locally and around the world.
