Biographical Sketch

Stephanie Selg

Ms. Stephanie Selg works with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in the position as the assistant to the UN Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment currently hosted by the Center for Human Rights & Humanitarian Law at Washington College of Law. She previously worked as a legal officer with the Secretariat of the EULEX Human Rights Review Panel, Pristina, Kosovo and as legal advisor and senior legal advisor for the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH), Hebron, OPT. She has also been employed as a legal consultant and researcher with the Swiss Forum for Human Rights, Switzerland. She graduated with Master of Laws from the University of Basel and Geneva, Switzerland and specialized in international human rights law, international humanitarian law, international organizations and comparative constitutional law. She has been a member of the Swiss National Expert Pool for Civilian Peace building since 2009.
