Center Co-Director discusses his experience defending a juvenile detained at Guantanamo Bay

Rick Wilson, Co-Director of the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and founding director of the International Human Rights Law Clinic at WCL was recently interviewed by La Opinión. The discussion with the Spanish publication focused on Professor Wilson’s experience defending domestic and international human rights, specifically his defense of Omar Kadhr, a Canadian juvenile detained in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Professor Wilson reflects on what it was like to defend a sixteen year old imprisoned in Guantanamo, describing it as the most difficult case of his career.
