for Human Rights
Friday, May 6th, 2005
8:30am – 4pm
By Invitation Only
Summary of Proceedings
This workshop was an outgrowth of several meetings that were held by the Bringing Human Rights Home Network, EarthRights International’s discussion about its Shock and Law Report as well as important work being done by the US Human Rights Network. The workshop focused on ways to talk about and effectively communicate human rights themes and values in a way that will be most easily received by US audiences. A primary focus was the need to simplify and connect the international and domestic discourses of human rights through identification of common questions and themes.
Co-sponsored by the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and Citizens for Global Solutions.
