Human Rights Coffee Hour - Fri.,, Apr. 12, 10am EST
Share. Learn. Caffeinate. Passionate about marriage equality? Want to hear what other AU students have to say? The recent Supreme Court cases Hollingsworth v. Perry, challenging California Proposition 8, and United States v. Windsor, challenging the federal Defense of Marriage Act, has everyone hopeful that the law will soon mirror public opinion. The consensus of national polls is that support for same-sex marriage now exceeds opposition to it. Please join us for a campus-wide coffee hour to discuss the human rights implications of the right to marry, the right to family, and equality before the law. Students from all schools, undergraduates and graduate students, are welcome.
