American University Washington College of Law Hosts D.C. Diversity Consortium’s 3rd Annual 1L Diversity Career Fair

 

On Nov. 7, American University Washington College of Law hosted the D.C. Diversity Consortium’s 3rd Annual 1L Diversity Career Fair with over 220 student attendees and 32 employer participants. 

The event featured a panel focusing on diversity opportunities where leading professionals in the legal industry discussed various diversity-related scholarship and fellowship opportunities that are available to 1Ls, including information about the application process and how to be a competitive applicant. The panel was followed by an employer networking reception where 1L students had the opportunity to speak with a variety of legal organizations to learn more about their diversity-related opportunities. Panelists included:

  • Aaron Gleaton Clay, Judicial Internship Opportunity Program
  • Frost Telegadas, ACC National Capital Region 
  • Jimmy Valenzuela, 2L at American University Washington College of Law 

The D.C.
