Grantseeking Resources (click here for Post-award support)
The Office of Grants & Programs works closely with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and the Grants and Contracts Accounting Office (GCA) on main campus to provide pre-award, contractual, and post-award support. AU's Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) assists American University faculty and staff with all pre-award and contractual support. Services include suggesting suitable funding sources, providing AU supplemental data, developing budgets, submitting proposals, and accepting and setting-up awards.
WCL's Grant and Contract Manager, Irina Komives, and staff from Grants and Programs are available every Tuesday morning to meet in person to discuss pre- and post-award grant-related issues. We can be contacted by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling our offices.
OSP's web page includes a Proposal Guide and related FAQs that leads faculty and staff through the grantseeking process and includes the following:
- Proposal Development (FAQs)
- Technical Proposal
- Budget Preparation and FAQs
- AU Institutional Information
- Proposal Approval and Submission (FAQs)
OSP has a number of online funding resources available on their web page. For assistance with any of these resources, or to schedule an appointment to access these resources, please contact OSP at (202) 885-3440 or by email to email@example.com. You can also reach the Office of Grants & Programs at 202-274-4219 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have identified a grant sponsor and are ready to develop a budget and/or submit a proposal, please complete the Pre-Award Proposal Development Form. Faculty with questions regarding curriculum and/or teaching impact should contact the WCL Office of Academic Affairs.
