Adjunct Professor Jennifer Toole is an attorney-adviser at the U.S. Department of State in the Office of the Legal Adviser. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and received her law degree from American University's Washington College of Law in 2001. Following her graduation from law school, she joined the Department of State's Office of the Legal Adviser, where she has specialized in investor-State arbitration, State-State arbitration and torts. Ms. Toole has served as editor of the International Lawyer’s Year In Review, International Litigation since 2006 and she has coached WCL’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court team since 2007. Ms. Toole was an adjunct instructor in WCL’s Legal Rhetoric and Writing Program from 2001-2002 and again from 2006-2008.
