Diane Seltzer Torre, the principal of The Seltzer Law Firm in Bethesda, Maryland, represents employers and employees in all aspects of employment law and employment litigation. She also serves as a mediator for employment disputes. She received her B.A. in Sociology, cum laude, from Tufts University in 1988. She graduated from American University, Washington College of Law, in 1991, where she served as a member of the Law Review. She clerked for Judge Frederick C. Wright III, Judge John P. Corderman, and Judge Daniel Moylan of the Circuit Court of Maryland for Washington County after graduation, from 1991-1992.
Ms. Seltzer currently serves as Vice Chair of the D.C. Bar’s Continuing Legal Education Committee. She served as a Committee member for two years prior to being selected as its Vice Chair.
In addition to her private practice, Ms. Seltzer Torre was previously a member of the adjunct faculty from 2003-2009 at American University, Washington College of Law, in Washington, DC, where she taught Employment Law: The Employment Relationship.
She is an active member of the ABA. Most recently, she served a 4 year term as Co-Chair of the Employment and Labor Law Committee in the ABA’s Section of Litigation and a 2 year term as Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Committee.
She has spoken nationally and locally at various programs on employment law and has appeared as a guest on and in national and local media programs and publications.
