Eduardo Ferrer Macgregor Poisot



Eduardo Ferrer Mac-Gregor Poisot is Judge and current Vice President of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. He is a researcher in the Institute of Legal Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), as the Coordinator for the area of research of Constitutional Law and secretary of the Héctor Fix-Zamudio International Legal Research Award. He is an officially qualified professor of the Faculty of Law at UNAM and for the Master’s in Constitutional Law and Human Rights at the Pan-American University. He has been a visiting professor and completed research stays in multiple Latin American and European universities, among which are Stanford University, Notre Dame, American University Washington College of Law (US), Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (Germany). He is author of numerous books and monographs on human rights and constitutional law, and coordinated the collection Justicia Interamericana of the Editorial Tirant lo Blanch.
