Nneoma Veronica Nwogu



Nneoma Veronica Nwogu is Senior Counsel to the World Bank and has provided legal representation on the Bank’s financing of projects in Burundi, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Niger and Togo. Prior to joining the Bank, she was an International Financial Transactions Associate at Hogan Lovells LLP (formerly Hogan & Hartson LLP) in Washington DC. She has worked at the South African Human Rights Commission as well as the Torts Branch of the United States Justice Department, Civil Division. Ms Nwogu received her BA from Wellesley College, an Mphil from Oxford University and JD from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her articles have appeared in the International Journal of Transitional Justice, the Human Rights Journal and the Michigan Journal of Public Affairs. She is the author of Shaping Truth, Reshaping Justice: Sectarian Politics and the Nigerian Truth Commission. She has served on the board of the Washington Foreign Law Society and ILAC-USA.
