Matthew L. Pascocello is the Director of Career Development & Alumni Counseling in the Office of Career & Professional Development at American University Washington College of Law where he primarily serves the professional development needs of WCL's alumni community. Matthew also serves as an adjunct professor at both American University's Washington College of Law where he teaches the Advanced Externship Seminar and at AU's School of Public Affairs, where he teaches courses including Systems of Justice, Advanced Topics in Law, and American Legal Culture. He has presented at numerous local and national conferences, addressing law student and attorney career development, has published articles for a range of publications, appeared on radio and television, and has been quoted in several books, newspapers, and online publications.
Prior to his work at American, Matthew practiced corporate and international trade law in New York and served as in house counsel to the US offices of a Parisian-based multinational assistance services company. Mr. Pascocello earned his BA from Boston University, JD from Georgetown University Law Center, and completed programs at both The London School of Economics and the National University of Singapore.
