Mark J Botti
Mark J. Botti is co-head of the Antitrust & Competition Practice Group at Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, where he represents clients on antitrust matters in all sectors of the economy. Mr. Botti is a vice chair of the Joint Conduct Committee and was a member of its special task forces on Health Care Reform and Pharmaceutical Reverse Payments and is a non-governmental advisor to the International Competition Network (ICN) merger committee. He was graduated from Case Western Reserve University, J.D., cum laude, in 1985, and has been recognized by Chambers USA 2016, Best Lawyers in America 2013-2016, Who’s Who Legal: Competition 2015, and Nightingale’s Outstanding Healthcare Antitrust Lawyers 2008.
Mr. Botti served for 13 years at the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice where he litigated and supervised complex antitrust matters, mergers and acquisitions, monopolization cases and joint ventures and consulted regularly with international antitrust enforcement authorities. Mr. Botti was the career Division official who directly oversaw the joint Federal Trade Commission and Justice Department Antitrust Division hearings on healthcare in 2004-2005; he also supervised the drafting of the agencies’ joint seminal report, “Improving Health Care: A Dose of Competition.”
